1st Annual Conference
The Nigeria LP Gas Association held its 1st Annual Conference on Thursday 10th November, 2011 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event was well attended.
The Keynote speakers were the Governor of Lagos State who was represented by the Engr. Taofiq Tijani, Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources and the Managing Director Pipelines & Petroleum Marketing Company, Mr Haruna Momoh.
The conference was grouped into three sessions
The first session was an overview of the Market Positions inNigeria
Mr. Nuhu Yakubu, Managing Director, Banner Energy Ltd moderated the session. The speakers were
- Mr. Dele Ijagbemi who represented Mr. Chima Ibeneche (Managing Director NLNG)
- Mrs Sumbo Odunsi, Director, Algasco LPG Services Ltd
- Mr Yemi Oreagba, LPG Manager, Oando Marketing who represented Mr. Yomi Awobokun, Chief Operating Officer, Oando Marketing; and
- Mr Renzo E. Bee, V.P International LPG Business Line, Total Gaz
The second session was on overcoming the challenges of operating in the Nigerian LPG industry
Prince Bambo Ademiluyi, Managing Director, Quaint Agencies Ltd moderated the session. The speakers were
- Mr. Felix Ekundayo, Managing Director, Linetrale Gas
- Mr. Bode Makanjuola, Executive Director, Caverton Offshore Support Group Plc
- Mr. E.D.M. Stephens, Executive Co-ordinator Kaysens Gas Co. Ghana
- Mr. Frank Arthur from the National Petroleum Authority, Ghana
- Mr. Alain Deleuse, International Business Development for ISA, Mann-Tek and Dec; and
- Mr Ercument Polat, Marketing Director, Aygaz, Turkey
The third session was on the way forward
